FAQ

Questions, Answered Briefly

Ordering, files, surveys, stamps, corrections and where we work. Can’t find yours? Ask us and we’ll answer it in your quote.

Ordering & pricing

How much do your drawings cost?

Each project is quoted on its own, because lots, projects and county rules differ. The quote is free and you see the price before any work starts.

How do I order?

Send your address and project through the quote form, WhatsApp or email. We check your county’s requirements and reply with the drawings needed, price and turnaround.

How long does it take?

It depends on the drawings. Your quote states the turnaround for each one, and rush delivery can be requested.

When do I pay?

Your quote explains payment. Nothing starts until you approve the quote.

Can I order several drawings or projects together?

Yes. Put them in one request and we quote them together. Drawings ordered together are made to match.

Drawings & files

What file formats do I get?

Vector PDFs sized for your permit office, ready to print or upload. Renderings come as high-resolution images. Other formats on request.

What sheet size are the drawings?

Whatever your permit office asks for, most often 11 × 17 or 24 × 36 inches.

Can I ask for changes to the drawings?

Yes. Revision terms are written in your quote, so you know what’s included before you approve.

Can I get CAD files?

PDF is standard. If you need DWG or another format, ask in your quote request.

Surveys & stamps

Is a site plan the same as a survey?

No. A survey is a licensed field measurement of your boundaries. A site plan is a scaled drawing of your lot and the work, drawn from records and your documents. Many permits accept a site plan; some require a survey.

Do you need to visit my property?

No. We work from your address, county parcel records, aerial imagery and anything you send.

Can you stamp my plans?

Yes, where required. Our licensed Professional Engineer partner reviews and seals eligible plans in the states where they’re licensed.

Are you surveyors or architects?

No. We prepare drafting and design drawings. When a project needs a licensed surveyor or architect, we tell you before you pay.

Permits & corrections

Will my permit be approved?

Approval is up to your permit office. We draw to its checklist and to what reviewers usually check, and help if it sends comments.

What if the county asks for changes?

Send us the reviewer’s comments. We revise the drawings to answer each one so you can resubmit.

Can you fix plans someone else drew?

Yes. We work from any PDF or CAD file and redraw the sheets that need changes.

Do you submit the permit for me?

You submit, because the permit is in your name. We give you files ready to upload.

Where we work

Which states do you serve?

All 50 states and Washington, DC. The one exception is site plans in California, where locating property lines counts as land surveying.

Do you know my county’s rules?

We check each county’s zoning and permit checklist for every project before quoting.

What about unincorporated areas?

No problem. County rules apply instead of city rules, and we draft to those.
